

Arrow squid Nototodarus sloanii
Very fast growing, arrow squid have a short life cycle and are abundant in the sub-Antarctic waters, 300 to 500 metres deep. They live near the seabed during the day and come up near the surface at night.
Squid have a dense flesh that turns white when cooked. Beautiful baked, barbequed, fried or as sushi/raw.
